Mr. Beast filming at The Quarters in Jackson, MS. for clean drinking water.

The Moses West Foundation has installed an Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) at The Quarters Assisted Living Facility in Jackson, Mississippi, to provide clean, reliable drinking water to residents after years of water system failures. This device, which generates water from the air through a process of pulling moisture from the atmosphere and purifying it, addresses the long-standing water crisis in the city and offers a model for sustainable water solutions. The installation, which was partially funded by a donation from Mr. Beast, is the first of its kind in the nation to be permanently connected to a residential facility.

Why is this significant for Jackson?
-
For a decade, Jackson residents, including those at The Quarters, have faced rolling blackouts and boil advisories due to a failing water system.
-
The AWG provides a consistent source of clean water, alleviating the constant need for bottled water and ensuring the facility's residents have a reliable water supply for essential needs like cooking and hygiene.
What is the Moses West Foundation's contribution to Jackson, Mississippi?
-
The foundation installed an AWG-800, a large-capacity atmospheric water generator, at The Quarters, an assisted living facility.
-
This unit extracts moisture from the air, filters it to a high level of purity, and delivers clean water through a new plumbing system.
-
Impact: For the first time in years, the facility's 100+ residents have access to clean water, ending their reliance on boil advisories or other contaminated sources. The system was permanently connected to the facility's plumbing and produces over 300 gallons of water a day.
-
The technology: The AWGs pull moisture from the air, filter it, and store it as clean drinking water. This provides a sustainable and resilient water source that is independent of damaged or contaminated municipal systems.
-
Location: In 2022, following a city-wide water system failure, West and his team installed an AWG-800 unit at The Quarters Assisted Living Facility in Jackson, MS.
